Jimmy Vesey has never played a second in the NHL, but he's the talk of the league as multiple teams are vying for his services. The Harvard University star saw his draft rights expire Monday, making him available Felix Pena Jersey to the rest of the league as an unrestricted free agent. Only a select group of teams will have a chance to make their pitch to Vesey ( ). One of the teams in the running is the New York Rangers and it appears they'd really, really like the 23-year-old left winger to come to Manhattan. The Blueshirts aren't expected to get a chance to talk to Vesey until Wednesday, but some of their famous fans are letting the Hobey Baker Award winner how much they'd like to see him at Madison Square Garden starting next season. The Rangers' most important pitch, however, will come from GM Jeff Gorton and perhaps current player Kevin Hayes, who is familiar with Vesey and was in his shoes just two years ago. Vesey is said to be looking for a team that has an opening in their top six. The Rangers may not actually meet that criteria with what they have on their wings currently, but getting more scoring help never hurts. It looks like New York will have local competition, too, with both the Islanders Brian Goodwin Jersey and Devils among the teams reportedly among the finalists.
